In our previous blog post, we talked about the need to reinvent ourselves in order to survive.
So we took the time we needed to digest this shock. After that, we took a real leap into the unknown by deciding to reinvent ourselves. But not just any old way.
We had to react with restraint and composure, bringing all our teams together to make the right decisions together, taking into account everyone's perspective and sensibilities to find a healthy balance.
Indeed, as it is not in our DNA to sit idly by, we had to act on behalf of our clients. At the same time, however, we were determined not to over-communicate. It's always a question of balance 🙂
So we took a few days off to take stock of this unprecedented crisis. We put our hearts into thinking about tools adapted to the new challenges of today's and tomorrow's events.
• For our part, we are convinced thatcertain event formats will have to evolve.That at least partial digitization will be necessary to emerge from the crisis. This is particularly true for corporate events that require large numbers of people to travel.
• We also anticipate that thelifting of lockdown measures will be gradual and that events until the end of 2020 will be limitedin terms of the number of people physically present.
• Finally, it is clear to us that this crisis is accelerating awarenessof eco-design in events, CSR, and employee well-being.
Once this initial assessment was complete, we sat down around a table. With recycled pencils in hand, we all put our heads together to think about our offering. We considered the existing modules and what the creativity offered by the AppCraft Events platform (thanks to its ultra-modularity) could add to what was already being done in response to these constraints.
After hours of brainstorming, scribbling, and passionate discussions, we came to the following conclusion:
There are many video technologies on the market that are easy to access. They do the job we ask of them, which is to broadcast a video stream and allow employees to connect with each other, but when it comes to personalizing the experience,there are a few missing links.
What aboutlive interactions? What about the"digital" scripting of the event?What about thedesign, which is not very customizable, if at all... We could fill an inventory à la Prévert, our employees have shown a lot of imagination 🙂
There is no magic formula. This exercise was replicated for all of our existing modules as well as all of ourmodules in R&D, resulting in a clear answer in the form of a new offering.
This new offering is calledAppCraft Everywhere.

In our view, a poorly planned live event islike renting a room without any staging. Allthe participants will be there, but the excitement will probably be lacking.
That's why we decided to set up atool dedicated to the secure customizationof remote B2B events.
Creating virtual events isn't just a temporary opportunity. It's accelerating a more global approach by companies that want, for example, to increasingly limit their employees' travel in order to reduce the carbon footprint of events.
Today, many events are necessarily becoming 100% online. It is likely that tomorrow we will be creatinghybrid events: half in-person, half virtual, and probablymulti-siteto reduce large gatherings.
